Art Deco Mappin and Webb Cocktail Glasses designed by Keith Murray
Keith Murray (1892-1981) was one of the most important and influential designers in the field of glass, ceramics and metalware from 1920 through to the start of the WWII. He was one of the first designers to be honoured for his contributions to industry when he was awarded the Royal Designer for Industry in 1936.
This set of 6 cocktail glasses was commissioned by renowned silversmiths Mappin and Webb in the 1930's. Created in high quality silver plate they are reassuringly heavy and fit the hand beautifully.
Each one is in good vintage condition; they do show some small signs of use. This is reflected in the price.
